Our 3rd and 4th floors will be opening soon so our guests can enjoy our new look. We are completing the renovation in stages to ensure we have sleeping rooms available for our guests. Our renovation is in full motion at this time, our 3rd and 4th floors are a complete construction zone, as well as our lobby. Our maintenance team is diligently working on each and every air conditioning and heating unit within each guestroom, so upon completion of the renovation all units will have had ongoing preventative maintenance. With our entire hotel renovation, we will be offering our guests the use of many different amenities that you are accustomed to when taking a mini-vacation.
Many of the items you addressed within your review are currently being assessed and addressed. We would stay here again but only because of the price.ĭear gibby41, Thank you for your recent review of our property. Our casinos are busy irrespective of the latter. Hopefully one day Americans will follow the Canadian way and make them smoke-free venues. There are signs in the lobby that indicate that renovations are/will be taking place but we did not see much activity in this regard! The casino is fine but quite smokey. Not sure what the cost is however you do get discounts if you stay at the hotel and/or have a players card. There is a large pool area that includes four water slides (not all are open daily), a lazy river for rafting as well as many other water attractions.
I selected what I thought was chicken but it was a tasteless piece of battered fish. The attendants were very lackadaisical and service was poor (no tip was given). The buffet restaurant (you can also place an order) had mediocre tasting food and no desserts. There is a Keurig coffee maker and good strong coffee pods. The room was pretty sound-proof though and relatively clean. The furniture however is rustic, the carpeting worn, the patio door would not lock, the sinks (one outside the bathroom which is nice) are old, mirrors are in need of replacement, there is no safe or ironing board, the wall a/c and heater makes a lot of noise. The room was indeed spacious and did have a gas fireplace. This was our first over-night stay and we were booked in one of the many balcony suites at a very reasonable price.
